When I met Karrie Johannsen almost two years ago, she was bald. Breast cancer had visited her life, and her small daughter, Taylor kept her going when her energy was low. Karrie loves being a Mom. Along with healing into wellness, Karrie dreamt of having another child. Her husband Mark, as well as her Mom and Dad, were her cheerleading squad. Karrie’s hair grew back and Taylor gets bigger and brighter with each new day. Speaking of bigger with each new day, Karrie and Mark are now proud parents of the newest addition to their family, Madison Elaine Johannsen. Taylor is a fantastic big sister to Madi and loves giving her kisses. As Karrie so beautifully says, Madi stole her heart at hello.
Needless to say, all of us at the studio have savored the honor of witnessing and recording this sacred journey the Johannsen Family has traveled. In the process, we have also fallen in love with them. In looking through the photos I have made over the last two years, I am profoundly touched by the impact and the changes that are seen as I look from photo to photo over what in many lives, is a small amount of time.
